Baby Owen {Zachary, LA Newborn Photographer}

Meet baby Owen!  It’s definitely baby season for me right now with lots of newborns to come.  Owen did so well for his first photo shoot!  The entire family was there too “ooh and ahh” over Owen.  Owen’s aunt reminds me a lot of myself.  As someone with no children of my own, I dote over my nephews as though they were my own (I would regardless if I had children or not!).  So Gretchen definitely reminded me of myself taking care of Owen, holding him, loving him…so very sweet.  Before long, Gretchen will be holding “gummie” candies as hostage until Owen comes over to give her hugs and kisses!  Or, this could just be the case in my family! 🙂   He’s a lucky little boy with so many to love (and spoil!) him!  Congrats F family!

This one below cracks me up!  It’s as though he’s saying “I’m done!” 🙂

She’s on the move! {Ashley Beth Photography}

I just wanted to post information (albeit, vague information) about my upcoming photography-related trips to different cities.  I will have the opportunity to photograph other families while I am in those cities so if you or someone you know would be interested in a session in these areas, please contact me.  You may email me at ashleybethphoto@yahoo.com.

So, have I made you wait long enough?!  Where exactly will I be headed??

I will be headed to Louisville, KY in September (still waiting on confirmation of exact dates).  I will be in Washington, DC in August…again, still waiting on confirmation on the date.  So, if you are going to be in these areas during these months, and you’re interested in a session, please let me know the dates you’ll be there and we’ll try to accommodate you!

And then there is a possibility of me coming to Tampa in September as well…this isn’t definite, but if I get enough sessions booked, I’ll look into making the trek! 🙂

Okay, I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!!  Now, it’s back to work tomorrow….bleh!!

The Toups Family {New Orleans Child and Family Photographer}

Here is the Toups family again!  I get to photograph this family about twice a year.  The last time I photographed them, little William was just days old – he’s getting so big!  Stephanie wanted a “New Orleans” feel to the images, so what better place to scream NOLA than the French Quarter?!

I absolutely love the humor in this picture below.  While we were photographing the family in the French Quarter, a man came up behind us while we were all trying to get baby William to smile.  He simply asked if we could give him directions.  When we turned around, we realized it was Stephanie’s Dad!  He spotted us on his coffee run, but the funny part is that he had no idea we were there photographing and Stephanie didn’t realize they were still in town after attending a wedding the night before!  So, before the shoot was done, we had to get him walking in the background as though he was a pedestrian!  HA!  We were glad to have him on hand to make the kids laugh. 🙂

What a JOY! {St. Francisville Newborn Photographer}

When I’m blogging about a photo session, I often write simple messages to correspond with some of my favorite images from that session. You will often find me saying “This session brought me such JOY because…”  I do notice that I say this often, but it’s what my heart truly feels: JOY!  I find JOY in photographing new clients I meet.  I find JOY photographing repeat clients, watching their families grow from a family of 2 to a family of 3, 4 and 5.  Not to mention that I get to watch their little ones grow from newborns to toddlers to middle schoolers.  I guess I just find JOY in what I do!!  I just love photographing little ones!! 🙂  Another way in which I find JOY with relation to my photography is when photographing children of dear friends like Ann Marie’s baby Andrew in the last session – I’ve known Ann Marie for years!  It brings me great JOY to photograph these precious children of hers and Brian’s.  This past weekend, I got to photograph another friend Kelle, who is also on her 3rd child – a girl, finally! 🙂  It brings me such JOY to know that y’all are JOYful over this baby girl after 2 beautiful boys!

Now, for those of you perusing the blog, maybe looking for a newborn photographer, don’t let little Anna Klein fool you – all of these smiles that she gave me are VERY uncommon for a newborn photo shoot.  Every once in a while, I’ll catch 1 smile, and I hope that it was in focused…but this little tiny peanut knew her favorite photographer was there and she was just charming me by giving me tons of smiles!! 🙂  EnJOY Grezaffi family!!

“Be JOYful ALWAYS; pray continually; Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”  1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
